An old man (God) with white hair and a beard driving a convertible car with two young passengers (Adam & Eve), heading towards a destination called Eden. "And he (Harold be thy name) drove them out of Eden in his Fury (Plymouth)."

Bible, Illustrated (A Graphic Novel)

Reading Time: 2 minutes

To capture the growing illiterate and low attention span market, I am currently undertaking the creation of an illustrated Bible, beginning with the book of Genesis. We need to figure out some things for our images. What did God drive? Do we know his name?

It’s all in there. It’s clear that Harold drove a Plymouth.

“And he drove them out of Eden in his Fury.”

“Our Father who art in heaven, Harold be thy name.”

He dumped them somewhere east of the Edens (I’m presuming the expressway), so that might be Skokie, Il.

R. Crumb has beat me to the entire book of Genesis.

This was more relatable in the days before GPS.

Few people are aware, but Jesus had a spectacular ass, which I guess you’d expect if you think about it. It’s unclear what he called this donkey. I think it was probably named gluteus maximus.

El Zee

When not working as a botanical illustrator or crafting artisanal marionettes, and being a fixture in the coffee shops of Klamath Falls, El Zee delves into the quirks of everyday life, unearthing stories resonant with depth and introspection.
